The sound-absorbing ceiling element (20) for the construction of a jointless acoustical ceiling consists of a perforated slab (22) which is covered, room side, on a non-woven layer (24) covering the perforations, with a sound-conducting plaster layer (26) and is backed, on the side facing away from the room, with a sound-insulating layer (28).
