An apparatus and method for manufacturing reclosable thermoplastic containers which eliminates the need for spot-sealing zipper closures (24,26) or zipper closure elements (24,26) to a web of thermoplastic film (22) prior to forming side seals (62) and zipper end seals (64) is provided. Opposing seal jaws (10,12) provide increased heat and pressure to zipper closures (24,26) in a manner which results in improved hermetic and fluid-tight side seals (62) and zipper end seals (64). <IMAGE> |
