<p>PURPOSE:To accurately detect water leakage without depending upon the change in water resistance by controlling a water supply valve by an output signal from detection means when a water absorption member is expanded by leakage water. CONSTITUTION:At an ordinary state, i.e., when there is no water leakage from a tank 1, contacts 11, 12 are opened and a water supply valve 14 is opened, and further predetermined water pressure reduced in tap water pressure, e.g., 0.6 kg/cm<2> is applied into the tank 1. Herein, once water leakage is produced in the tank 1, leaked water is once received by a drain pan 8, and then applied fro a drain pipe 9 to a water absorption member 20. The water absorption member 10 absorbing the water is expanded and hence a contact 11 is also raised. Once the amount of the absorbed water reaches a certain value, the contact 11 makes contact with a fixed contact 12 to close a circuit, and a controller 13 detecting the fact outputs a control signal to the water supply valve 14 for actuation of the same, whereby a water supply pipe 5 is closed to prevent water pressure from applying in the tank 1 for prevention of water leakage.</p> |
