发明名称 FRP STRUCTURAL BODY
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an FRP structural body having the sufficient rate of absorption for impact energy by forming a plurality of opening parts on a metallic sheet along the lengthwise direction and burying this metallic sheet into the wall part of a cylindrical body made of FRP in the length wise direction thereof. CONSTITUTION:A foam 4 becoming a urethane core is formed and glass fiber (continuous fiber) is wound thereon. Metallic sheets 3 having the circular opening parts 5 are inserted into the respective faces of this foam 4. Thereafter the foam 4 is arranged into a forming mold. The molding composition made of both unsaturated polyester resin for base material resin and glass fiber for reinforce fiber is introduced and an FRP structural body 1 is obtained which has the outer shell of FRP 2. At this time, a metallic sheet 7 having the rectanglar opening parts 6 whose end parts are formed into a semicircular shape may be utilized. Further the metallic sheet 8 having the opening parts 5 and 6 may be utilized. When this FRP structural body receives impact along the lengthwise direction, the cylindrical body made of FRP is not ruptured but continuously destroyed because the metallic sheet with the opening parts formed thereon is buried into the wall part of the cylindrical body made of FRP. Therefore impact energy is successively absorbed.
