PURPOSE:To properly prevent the shock of a vehicle by detecting the shock with high precisions, even if the vibration state of the vehicle changes, by correcting each threshold value so that a prescribed relation is maintained between the vibration state of the vehicle and each threshold value on an extension side and contraction side. CONSTITUTION:A means M1 detects the vibration state generated on a vehicle because of the change of a road surface, and the vibration of a car body is controlled by changing the damping force characteristic of a shock absorber M2 on the basis df the result of the detection. In this device, the resonance component on a spring is extracted by a means M3 on the basis of the detected vibration state of the vehicle. Further, when the magnitude of the detected resonance component on the spring exceeds each threshold value on an extension side or contraction side, a means M4 maintains the damping force of the shock absorber M2 at high value. Further, the frequency with which the extracted resonance component on the spring exceeds each threshold value on the exten sion side or contraction side is compared, and each threshold value is corrected by a means M5 to the side where each frequency becomes nearly equal. |
