PURPOSE:To discriminate the operation mode, by inserting a short black signal in white signals which are consecutive, out of the signals for frame synchronism. CONSTITUTION:One period Tb of a phase signal PHSb for synchronism is expressed by 1296-bit, a black pattern signals section B of time Tb1 is taken as 80-bit of logical 0 and a white pattern signal section W of time Tb2 is taken as 1216-bit of logical value 1. In the standard operation mode, the PHSb is transmitted to a transmission line as it is. In the accurate operation mode, it has the same bit constitution as the PHSb and a phase signal PHSc is transmitted, in which a part of 1216-bit indicating the white pattern signal section W is converted into a signal of logical 0 corresponding to the black pattern signal by a short time Tb3. At the reception side, the operation mode is discriminated by detecting the black pattern signal in the white pattern signal section. |
