A holographic multidisplay apparatus, e.g. for an automotive vehicle, comprises a display unit 20, e.g. an instrument board disposed on an instrument panel assembled in a dashboard, a hologram plate 22 disposed in front of the display unit and on which are recorded a plurality of holographic images indicative of a plurality of specific displays, and a plurality of light sources 23 disposed in front of the hologram plate, for selectively reproducing holographic images recorded on the hologram plate. The plurality of holographic images may be recorded at different positions on a single hologram plate or recorded on different layers of a multi layer hologram plate, preferably the images being of different colours. The light sources may be arranged under the rearmost end of the instrument panel hood or on the steering column. The holographic images may be displayed in front of or at the back of the display unit. <IMAGE> |
