A resin material (16), is fed into the air bag cover cavity of a mold provided with a movable member (13), adapted to advance into the resin filled cavity to form the tear-line groove (13A) into the resin material, thereby obtaining a modular cover (1) provided with a tear-line (1A) having a small thickness and a high degree of strength. The method avoids weakness of the tear line groove, that would otherwise arise from flow of the resin around a fixed mould cavity groove- forming configuration. <IMAGE> |
