<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal head which is excellent in thermal responsiveness and enables recording with high-speed and high-quality printing by a constitution in which a glazed layer having a multilayer structure formed of a plurality of materials which are different in temperature conductivity from each other is provided on a substrate, and a heating resistor and an electrode for supplying power are provided thereon. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal head having a heating resistor 3 on a glazed layer 2 provided on a substrate 1 and further an electrode 4 for supplying power on said heating resistor 3, the glazed layer 2 is formed to have a multilayer structure which is composed of two kinds or more of material 2' and 2'' being different in thermal conductivity from each other, the heating resistor 3 and the electrode 4 are provided on the layer 2, a non-oxidizable layer 5 for preventing oxidation and a wear-proof layer 6 are provided further thereon, and thereby an aimed thermal head being excellent in thermal responsiveness can be obtained. It is preferable that the materials forming the glazed layer 2 of multilayer structure are laid in such a manner that the temperature conductivities thereof are lessened sequentially from a layer in contact with the substrate 1 to a layer in contact with the heating resistor 3.</p> |
