The working fluid temperature abnormality alarm apparatus includes a temp. sensor (S1) for detecting a working fluid temperature and a cooler (2) for cooling the working fluid and is fitted to an electric discharge machine for controlling and working fluid temperature to within an allowable range by controlling the cooler in accordance with a temperature sensor output signal. It is equipped also with a second temp. sensor (S2) which is set to a second setter (5) and judges whether or not the detected working fluid temp. is within a predetermined range inclusive of an allowable working fluid temp. range. A numeric controllers (3) lets a CRT display (6) display an abnormality message in accordance with an output signal from the second temp. sensor indicating that a detected working fluid temp. deviates from the predetermined range, and stops the operation of the electric discharge machine.
