PURPOSE:To operate a mobile station with a high connection probability by providing a means retrieving the idle channel in radio call channels when power is applied and a display means displaying the state of an idle channel to recognize the idle state of the channel properly. CONSTITUTION:When power is applied through the installation of a base station 1, a control circuit 5 is operated according to the mode set by a selector switch 11 when a power application signal is inputted. That is, when an idle channel retrieval mode is selected, the control circuit 5 activates a radio reception circuit 7 to retrieve the presence of an idle channel as to all call channels. Then the number of idle channels is counted and the idle channel number after the end of retrieval is displayed on a display device 10. Thus, the number of idle channels is known at the installation of the base station 1 and whether or not the installed location is an optimum location is immediately discriminated. |
