PURPOSE:To prevent defective transfer caused by the curled transfer sheet by providing a pre-transfer destaticizer, and actuating it and weakening the destaticizing capability of a destaticizer for peeling for the second and subsequent times in the case of consecutively performing the transfer on the same copying paper plural times. CONSTITUTION:The pre-transfer destaticizing lamp 25 is provided and the second and subsequent transfer to one copying sheet is easily performed by destaticizing before a latent image carrier 11 reaches a transfer device 17 with an image developed with toner. Simultaneously, the destaticizing ability of the destaticizer 18 for peeling is made weaker than that for a first time. Thus, the defective transfer caused by the curling of the leading edge and the trailing edge of the copying paper is prevented in the case of performing the second and subsequent transfer in the copying of a composite image and both-side copying. |
