A process for the conversion of a hydrocarbon feed in which the feed is contacted with a zeolite catalyst to produce a product, the zeolite having a framework structure which includes a 10- or 12-member channel that is not intersected by another 10- to 12-member channel and having been treated by a process which comprises a first step of contacting the zeolite with steam and a subsequent step of contacting the zeolite with an acid.
