Pelletised and compressed animal feed compsn. comprises a dry mixt. of feed ingredients and, as binder, 0.1-5 wt.% of reactive phosphate source (I) and 0.25-5 wt.% (both based on total compsn.) of a reactive metal hydroxide, oxide or salt. Animal feed binder compsn. comprises 1-50 wt. pts. H3PO4, NH4 polyphosphate, NH4H2PO4, (NH4)2HPO4, KH2PO4, K2HOP4 NaH2PO4, or CaHPO4 and 2.5-50 wt. pts. MgO, Al2O3, K2O, CaO, MgCa oxide, Mg(OH)2, Al2(OH)3, KOH, Ca(OH)2, CaSO4, MgK2(SO4)2,, MgSO4, K2SO4, CaCl2, MgCl2, CaCO3 or MgCO3. |
