PURPOSE:To insert and connect circuit bases and the like parallel to a contact and without cutting the contact by providing two contacts to an elastic arm formed double in almost a circular arc, and making a difference between the contacting times of both contacts. CONSTITUTION:A contact 10 of an edge connector is formed of an elastic conductive material of phosphor bronze or the like, and its formation consists of an outer elastic arm 13 and an inner elastic arm 15 formed parallel to the arm 13 through the free end of the arm 15. At the upper and the lower parts of the inner elastic arm 15, contact points 16 and 17 are formed. Plate-form members 21 and 22 contacted each other through the contact 10 have ends of step form respectively, and contact pads 23 and 24 are formed thereover. The contact 10 is fixed to an insulating housing 30, and only the contact point 17 is projected from the lower side of a step-form opening 31. The plate-form member 21 and 22 are inserted parallel to the contact point 17 at first, and contacted to the contact point 16 projecting to the lower side by the electric displacement without cutting the contact point 16. |
