<p>The device comprises a binary counter (CB) and first and second decade counters (CD1, CD2). On closing a switch SW, a signal R from the output triggers counting operations by the counters (CB, CD1, CD2). An output of rank m of the counter (CD2) controls inputs (E) for enabling the counters (CD1, CD2). An output (Q9) of the binary counter (CB) controls the resetting to zero of the counters (CD1, CD2). Another output (Q13) of the binary counter (CB) controls the end of frame. For a signal (R) of duration greater than a predetermined duration, a frame of n periodic bursts, each of m pulses, appears on the output (7) of the counter (CD1).
