A jam prevention mechanism includes a stripper, adapted to be positioned in a device including a pair of rollers (11, 12) through which a continuous fan-fold sheet (20) is to be fed, for preventing the sheet (20) from being caught around one (12) of the pair of rollers (11, 12). The stripper comprises at least one spring member (40) having a pair of arms (42) which contact a circumferential surface of one (12) of the pair of rollers with a weak force. Extreme ends of bent portions (43) of the arms contact stops (34) on a ribbed sheet guide (30) to restrict deflection of the stripper in the sheet feed direction. <IMAGE>
