PURPOSE:To discharge fine ink mists, produced from ink droplets delivered, out of a device by controlling the capacity of a fan based on the detected signal from a temperature detecting means of a recording head unit and providing a member and an absorbing body for collecting fine liquid droplets in a suction port. CONSTITUTION:When a signal RTH of the temperature of a recording head unit 110 is sent from said unit to a control unit CTL, the CTL sends a signal DFH to a DC fan motor M4 for sucking printing paper P to control the capacity of a fan 390F to form an air flow for sucking out. Being carried by the air flow, ink mists flow through a hole of a platen 392 into an ink mist collecting section 399, where the flow impinges against a trap member 399B to be collected thereby. Further, the air flow runs against the wall surface of a duct 399A so that the ink mist carried thereby are completely collected and formed into droplets of ink, which fall down under their own weight and are absorbed into an absorbing body 399C. Operators replace the body 399C, whereby the ink mists can be discharged out of the device. |
