The present invention concerns a device for fixing a shoe to a bicycle pedal. The device is of the type comprising, fixed to the sole of the shoe, a plate with a front attachment and a rear attachment that engage with clips attached to the pedal. The clips consist respectively of a clip portion fixed at the front and a moving rear clip unit pressed forward by a system of springs. The parts are shaped so that rotation of the sole about its rest position causes backward motion of the moving clip unit and its lateral disengagement from the pedal. The device according to the invention is characterised by the fact that the moving rear clip unit is attached to the pedal so that it can slide in a straight line in a direction at right angles to its axis of rotation. <IMAGE> |
