<p>PURPOSE:To exactly calculate the remainder of a tape by traveling the tape at prescribed control velocity at the time of recording, traveling the tape at tracking control velocity at the time of reproducing and traveling the tape at the velocity of recording when envelope is not detected. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 16 discriminates either the recording time or the reproducing time. At the time of recording, a change-over switch 10 is turned to a terminal 10a side and velocity control is executed by capstan servo at the time of recording. Then, the remaining amount of the tape is calculated by a tape remainder calculating means 15 and displayed at a display 17. At the time of reproducing, the presence / absence of the envelope is discriminated by an envelope detecting circuit 21 and when the envelope is not detected, the tape remainder is calculated by the similar method to the recording time. When the envelope is detected, the switch 10 is changed over to a terminal 10b side and the tape is traveled at the tracking control velocity by capstan servo at the time of reproducing. Then, the tape remainder is calculated and displayed. Thus, the tape remainder can be exactly calculated.</p> |
