<p>PURPOSE:To provide a golf ball having high repulsion elastic force, excellent fleight performance and low temperature resisting property by using specified ethylene acrylic acid copolymer system ionomer resin for a cover. CONSTITUTION:Ethylene acrylic acid copolymer carboxylic acid radical consisting of components of ethylene and acrylic acid is neutralized with alkali metal ion to provide ionomer resin (A) having 0.5-5.0g/10min. of the melt index and at least 3000kg/cm<2> of modulus of flexural rigidity. Ethylene acrylic acid copolymer carboxylic acid radical consisting of components of ethylene and acrylic acid is neutralized with dihydric metal ion or the like to provide ionomer resin (B) having 0.5-5.0g/10min. of melt index and at least 1500kg/cm<2> of modulus of flexural rigidity. The resin (A) is blended with the resin (B) so that the compounding ratio is (A)/(B)=80/20-30/70 (weight ratio). The ionomer resin having 30-60% of total neutralization amount and at least 10% thereof neutralized with dihydric metal ion or alkaline earth metal is used for a cover, so that the fleight performance and low temperature resisting property of a golf ball are improved.</p> |
