<p>PURPOSE: To provide a completely integrated voltage-controlled oscillator having a very accurate free operating frequency by constituting the oscillator of voltage-pulse converters, a frequency divider means, and a frequency controller. CONSTITUTION: A voltage-controlled oscillator is provided with voltage-pulse converters 20-32 which respectively generate control signals when their control voltages are lower or higher than a prescribed reference voltage and a frequency divider means 52 which responds to input signals having a prescribed frequency and selectively divides the frequency of the input signals by a divisor (x) or (y). The oscillator is also provided with a frequency controller 54 which forms the operation mode of the means 52 when a first or second control signal does not exist and changes the output frequency of the means 52 by changing the sequence. Therefore, a completely integrated voltage-controlled oscillator(VCO) having a very accurate free operating frequency is realized without using any external parts by using a VCO 50 having a center frequency which is quoted to a crystal oscillator as a reference.</p> |
