PURPOSE:To obtain a bird net for fruit trees capable of surely preventing fruits from bird injury without any occurrence of pollution by constructing the net from a netlike unit, composed of a polyolefin resin such as polyethylene or polypropylene, having smaller meshes than the head of birds and a size so as to cover the whole fruit tree. CONSTITUTION:Many notches 2 are alternately formed parallel in a polyolefin resin film 1 such as polyethylene or polypropylene and the film is then drawn left and right in the direction perpendicular to the notches 2 and extended to provide a netlike form or polyolefin resin fiber is knitted to afford the netlike form. Thereby, a bird net 3 composed of a netlike unit having smaller meshes 4 than the head of birds is produced. The resultant bird net 3 is spread over a fruit tree so as to cover the whole fruit tree about the time when the fruits start ripening to protect the fruits from bird injury. After harvesting, since the net is made of polyolefin resin, the net may be removed, deposited, decomposed into water and gaseous carbon dioxide and diffused with action of sunlight in a short period without causing pollution. |
