A gasket arrangement includes a gasket (32) in a base member (22) of an electrical power transformer (10) which has a spring-urged disc (26) for abutting the gasket (32). A slot (28) formed in the base member (22) includes an undercut portion (30) so that a sealant material (48), when inserted into the undercut portion (30) and between the base (22) and tapered portion (44) of the circular gasket (32) retains the gasket (32) in the slot (28) against all the disruptive forces which act on the gasket (32) when the disc (26) moves rapidly to make or break it's seal with the uppermost part of the gasket surface (42). |
