PURPOSE:To provide the title DNA useful for giving manifestation vector and, as a transformant thereof, Escherichia coli, containing a base sequence coding a specific polypeptide containing antibody recognition site for mouse-derived bullous pemphigoid antigen. CONSTITUTION:The objective DNA containing a base sequence coding a polypeptide part of which consists of an amino acid sequence of the formula and which contains mouse-derived bullous pemphigoid antibody recognition site. As a result of the comparison of the DNA base sequence of said antigen and the amino acid sequence estimated therefrom with human-derivied ones, the human- derived polypeptide has been shown to have 664 amino acids, compared to 997 amino acids for the above-mentioned polypeptide; thus, the lengths of polypeptide apparently differ from each other; however, the antibody recognition sites for the antigen are mutually overlapped in high homology, and it has been demonstrated to be 78.6% and 77.0% for DNA level and amino acid level, respectively. |
