PURPOSE:To perform biplane scanning by a simple drive mechanism by mounting a shaft to the inner periphery of a ring member fixend at one end thereof and performing swing motion centering around one end. CONSTITUTION:One end of a ring member 9 is fixed to the inner surface of a cylindrical case 1 by a fixing member 10 and an arm 5 is mounted to the other end of the ring member 9. A shaft 2 is mounted to the inner peripheral surface of the ring member 9 and an ultrasonic vibrator 3 is supported by the shaft 2 through a support member 4. The driving force from a motor 6 is transmitted to the shaft 2 and further transmitted to the ultrasonic vibrator 3 through the ring member 9, the shaft 2 and the support member 4 and the ultrasonic vibrator 4 performs swing motion in the direction shown by an arrow A. Further, by manually subjecting the arm 5 to forward and rearward motion in an arrow direction, the ring member 9 performs swing motion around the shaft 2 to change the angle theta of the swing motion in the direction A of the ultrasonic vibrator 3. By this constitution, biplane scanning can be performed. |
