PRODUCTION METHOD OF ELECTRIC CONTACTS OF ALLOYS RIVET TYPE AND PSEUDO-ALLOYS OF PRECIOUS METALS

The invention refers to a procedure for producing rivet-shaped electrical contacts from alloys and pseudo-alloys of noble metals, consisting of the cold forming of contact rivets on automatic machines, from round wires thermally treated and calibrated by wire-drawing, followed by a thermal treatment, in order to re-establish the electrical properties, and a chemical treatment for polishing and passivation of the contact surface.The above procedure, compared with other known procedures, has the advantage of a substantial increase of productivity, the production of a wide range of dimensions of contacts, which have superior electric properties and resistance to the environment.
