<p>PURPOSE:To easily and accurately perform decoding by operating a width value so as to reduce the dispersion of the bar of read-in bar code and width value of space. CONSTITUTION:A scanner 1 reads the bar width and the data of space width of a bar code 5. A CPU 1, when completing the reading of all the data of the bar code 5, performs pre-processing to operate the with value so as to reduce the dispersion of the width value in the information of the width value by performing the statistical processing of the data of the bar code 5. Then, a signal corresponding to pre-processed data is outputted to an output signal conversion circuit 7, and the output signal conversion circuit 7 performs the level conversion of the signal so as to conform to the input voltage level of a decoder 12, then, outputs a result to the decoder 12. Thereby, the decoding can be easily and accurately performed.</p> |
