PURPOSE:To improve acceleration feeling by releasing lock-up when signals from an acceleration demand judging means exceed a preset value, and correcting the variable speed of a continuous transmission in response to the acceleration demand. CONSTITUTION:A control device 103 of an automatic transmission consisting of a starting device 1, anadvance-retract switching device 2, acontinuous variable speed gear 3, etc., judges the degree of driver's acceleration demand based on throttle opening and its rate of change from a sensor 101. When the degree of acceleration demand exceeds a preset value, a hydraulic pressure control device 90 releases a lock-up clutch 11 through a lock-up pressure control device 93 to correct the variable speed of the continuous variable speed gear 3 determined by the deviation of an input rotating speed from a rotation sensor 301 from a target input rotating speed in response to the degree of acceleration demand. Acceleration feeling can thus be improved. |
