CASTABLE REFRACTORY HAVING HIGH MAGNESIA CONTENT

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject refractory having improved digestion resistance and spalling resistance by including a specific amount of magnesia in terms of MgO and a specific amount of silica sol liquid in terms of SiO2 into a refractory aggregate containing fine powder. CONSTITUTION:A refractory aggregate is prepared by including >=50wt.% (in terms of MgO) of magnesia in a refractory aggregate containing fine powder. A silica sol liquid is added to the refractory aggregate in an amount to get an SiO2 content of 0.1-1wt.% to obtain a castable refractory having high magnesia content.
