A filter box (1) for textile machines, in particular for ring spinning machines, comprising a motor-driven suction fan (8) and a rotary drum-type filter element (2) with which means (3) are associated for effecting automatic self-cleaning of the filter surface. Said means are external to the rotary drum filter (2) in front of a deflector screen (27) which eliminates the air suction action on the filter surface, to allow removal of the web of filaments and impurities which has accumulated during each complete revolution of the rotary drum filter. <IMAGE> |
