PURPOSE:To prevent a slip on a snow road or the like by switching an auxiliary transmission to the high side when a main transmission is set to the reverse side and the winter mode is set, and switching it to the low side when the winter mode is not selected. CONSTITUTION:An electronic control device (e) for a main transmission forming multiple forward shift stages and one reverse shift stage with solenoid valves S1, S2 and an auxiliary transmission allowing high/low switching with a shift solenoid S3 allows a start at stages other than the lowest stage of the main transmission when a vehicle is started in the winter mode detected by a detecting switch (d). If a switch (c) detects that the main transmission is set to the reverse side when the winter mode is selected, the auxiliary transmission is switched to the high side. When the winter mode is not selected, the auxiliary transmission is switched to the low side. The high reverse gear is operated when a vehicle is reversed on a low-mu road such as a snow road or a frozen road, and reverse running can be surely performed with no slip. |
