The invention permits the introduction of a catheter into a complex vascular system. The guide consists of a metal sheath (1), the end of which is bent and which has a central core (2) sliding inside it, but fixed (3) at the bent end. The tightening and slackening of the central core (2), while holding the metal sheath (1) fixed, cause the distal end (3) to move in a plane through an angle of 0 to 150 DEG . The invention is intended to permit a catheter or another device to penetrate into a deep organ for a diagnostic or therapeutic purpose. <IMAGE>
