PURPOSE:To provide the subject granule having a specific granule diameter and improved solubility and containing aspartame IIA type and IIB type crystals. CONSTITUTION:For example, an aspartame aqueous solution is stirred, crystallized and centrifuged to prepare aspartame wet crystals containing 50% of water, which are continuously dried in a micron dryer and further in a small vacuum dryer to provide aspartame IIB type crystals (the crystals exhibit peaks at diffraction angles of 15.2 deg., 11.1 deg., 19.6 deg. and 4.5 deg. by a powder X ray diffraction method using CuK alpha ray). The IIB type crystals are mixed with a binder such as water or alcohol and further granulated preferably by a dry granulation method such as a pressure granulation method into a size of 150-1400mum (preferably 180-500mum) to provide the objective granule. |
