A lever-type safety lock has a lever linked to a moveable plate arranged parallel to the lever and provided with a striker able to co-operate with a projection provided on the bolt. In event of rupture of the pin of the lock due to an attempted burglary, the lock remains blocked thanks to the co-operation between the striker of the moveable plate and the projection of the bolt.
