发明名称 LIGHT SOLITON TRANSMISSION SYSTEM
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable long-distance transmission by setting the intensity of a light pulse which is made incident on a single-mode optical fiber to such as value that light soliton having a 1.1 - 1.4 amplitude is generated and amplifying the light soliton with a value for compensating light loss at the position where the pulse width becomes equal to that at the incidence point of time of the light pulse. CONSTITUTION:The light soliton having the same pulse width as that at the point of time of incidence of the light pulse on the single-mode optical fiber is generated on a transmission line by setting the intensity of the light pulse which is made incident on the single-mode optical fiber to the value where the light soliton with the 1.1 - 1.4 amplitude is generated. A decrease in amplitude due to the light loss of the light soliton on the transmission line is compensated by amplification to equalize the waveform of the generated light soliton to that of the light soliton generated when the light pulse is made incident on the optical fiber. Thus, the light soliton is amplified so as to compensate the decrease in the amplitude due to the light loss at the position on the transmission line where the light soliton having the same pulse width as that at the time of the incidence on the optical fiber. Consequently, the long-period transmission is performed without any deformation of the waveform.
