PURPOSE:To prevent fogging in a non-image area and obtain a high-quality image by compounding a fatty acid ester into an ink used in a printing method wherein the adhesiveness of the ink is varied by applying voltage. CONSTITUTION:An ink of which adhesiveness varies in such a manner that, when a voltage is applied by a pair of electrodes in contact with the ink, the ink adheres only to one electrode and does not adhere to the other, and which at least contains fine particles and a liq. dispersing medium, and also contains a fatty acid ester. Examples of the pref. fatty acid ester are a sorbitan fatty acid ester and a polyglycerin fatty acid eter; a pref. amt. compounded of the ester is 0.1-20 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. ink. |
