The device accurately positions two components in w.r.t. each other in the peripheral direction. The first component has a recess with an inner datum face, with a corresp. outer one on the second component. The components fit one inside the other. Apart from the datum faces (16,20), there is only line or point contact (24) between the components (12) at one or more positions.
