A sabot bullet has a bullet body (70) with two axially aligned conical parts (72, 74). A connecting part (84) is provided between the parts (72, 74) which is integral with the adjacent ends of the conical parts. The connecting part (84) has a concave outer surface (86); thus, the connecting part (84) represents a gradual change in the outer surface of the bullet body (70) from one conical part (72) to the outer conical part (74). An improved sabot segment (100) for the bullet body (70) has ribs (104) on the outer surface thereof. The ribs (104) extend longitudinally of the sabot segments (100). |
