The invention relates to an air freight pallet (1) consisting of a light metal plate (2) trimmed around the edges with a light metal hollow profile (3) and connected by rivets (4) to this hollow profile (3). The light metal hollow profile parts (3) of the air freight pallet (1) have miter-cut sections (11) at the four corners. The miter joints are interconnected in a shear-resistant manner. To avoid welding on the miter joints of the light metal hollow profiles (3) while ensuring a connection which absorbs shearing forces, insert parts (12) are inserted in a non-retractable manner in the cavities (5) of the light metal hollow profiles (3) in the region of the miter joints. The insert parts act as corner connections and make a welded seam superfluous, because they establish a connection between the profile parts which is free from tilting or lever moments. |
