The machine continuously extracts and discharges rock, being particularly for mining and tunnelling.It is mounted on crawler tracks, with a derricking boom at the front on which are cutter drums with augers, delivering to a conveyor in the machine itself. The individual units of the machine can be remote-controlled, the drums (6) with their drive mechanism being movable independently, while their direction of rotation is reversible. They form units detachable from the boom (3). The length of the crawler travel gear (2) is such as to allow turning round in a mine roadway.
