HEAT-SEALABLE OPAQUE MULTI-LAYER ORIENTED FILM

PURPOSE: To enhance the heat sealability of a packaging soft film and to improve fluid transport properties by applying a primer coating film to the second layer extruded on a support simultaneously and coating this coating film with a heat-sealable layer containing a vinylidene chloride copolymer with vinylidene chloride content of specific wt.%. CONSTITUTION: A support containing an opaque polyolefin film and at least one second layer containing a heat-sealable homopolymer, a copolymer or a mixture of them are extruded at the same time and this simultaneously extruded product is biaxially stretched and pretreated to be increased in its surface energy and a primer coating film is applied to the pretreated surface of the stretched product and a heat-sealable layer containing a vinylidene chloride copolymer with a vinylidene chloride content of at least 50 wt.% is applied to the primer coating film.
