In a gamma ray detecting tomograph, the reconstructed tomographic pictures of a body can be viewed more quickly and under better conditions by selecting a sighting device (11) of which the hole arrangements are focussed on a section (10) having a predetermined thickness. Then, by longitudinally moving (Y) the tomograph, pictures of adjacent sections are obtained. It has been shown that this technique is faster than any technique which involves taking two-dimensional projected pictures (63-65) over the entire body being examined.
|
