<p>A method of setting a profiling region in profiling which profiles the surface of a model and machines a work. A profiling region is set by a plurality of broken lines (43, 44, 45) and pick feed is effected when a stylus (5) reaches the broken lines (43, 44) and the work is machined by profiling. Since the profiling region is set by a plurality of broken lines (43, 44, 45), a necessary profiling region can be set correctly. Accordingly, a wasteful machining time can be eliminated and the life of a tool can be improved.</p> |
