The pressures are applied to chambers (5, 6) on either side of the piston (3) coupled to the control rod (4) with an adjustment spring (22) supported by a control piston (11). An electromagnetically operated three/two-way valve (19) controls the atmos. pressure line (12) and the vacuum line (13) to the respective inlets in communication with grooves (14, 15) around the control piston (11). The chambers (5, 6) can be interconnected via a blocking valve (21). USE/ADVANTAGE - Control of e.g. throttle flap by-pass in vehicular i.c. engine. Control rod can be driven pneumatically in both directions, dispensing with restoring spring.
