PURPOSE:To obtain subordinate melody parts which vary variously by generating a time difference which is determined by the composition of a basic time difference and an adjustment time difference between a main melody part and a subordinate melody part to be generated, and generating the subordinate melody part based upon the main melody. CONSTITUTION:An input/display device 8 has an input device including panel switches and a display device such as an LCD and the time difference between the main melody and subordinate melody, etc., is set through the panel switches. A musical sound regarding subordinate melody performance which is generated automatically according to an example is generated through a sound source 6 and outputted together with a musical sound regarding melody performance on a melody keyboard. Therefore, a music part which is affected by the main melody part which has a variable time difference obtained by adding the adjustment time difference to the basic time difference is generated. Consequently, the music part which varies variously according to the contents of the main melody and whether the time difference is large or not is obtained depending upon the contents of the main melody. |
