<p>PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized mechanism for successively moving bundles of papers onto a stack tray, by using a system in which a stapling operation is interrupted at an intermediate stage where a sheaf of papers is entirely pierced by a stable driven by a stapler, and the stapler is moved holding the sheaf of papers. CONSTITUTION:Each time a paper P is discharged from an image forming device 20 to be stacked on a binding tray 11, a paper sensor 51 sense the discharge of the paper P. When the number of the papers discharged and sensed reaches a prescribed value, an operation of stapling the papers by a stapler 15 is started. When a detection signal is given according to turning-ON of an operation interruption timing sensor, a stapler-driving motor is stopped, so as to interrupt the stapling operation at an intermediate stage where the entire sheaf of papers P to be bound is pierced by a staple 16 driven by the stapler 15. Because the stapler 15 is at the intermediate stage of the stapling operation and the sheaf of papers P is being clamped by the stapler 15, the sheaf of papers P is also moved from a binding operation starting position toward a discharging position while being held by the stapler 15.</p> |
