PURPOSE:To obtain the subject recording medium, prepared by forming a layer containing spherical basic magnesium carbonate and cellular inorganic pigment having a particle diameter of a specific value or below based on that of the aforementioned basic magnesium carbonate and capable of providing recorded images having both image density and indoor discoloration resistance. CONSTITUTION:The objective recording medium prepared by forming a layer containing spherical basic magnesium carbonate (preferably containing >=85% spherical particles) and a cellular inorganic pigment (preferably aluminum oxide) having an average particle diameter of 1/3 or below based on that of the aforementioned magnesium carbonate. Furthermore, the weight ratio of above- mentioned magnesium carbonate to the inorganic pigment is preferably (1/5)-(9/1) of the former/latter. |
