PURPOSE:To facilitate handling a used thermal transfer film and enable preservation of confidential information, by a method wherein the leading end of a thermal transfer film of a roll of a composite thermal transfer sheet is preliminarily attached to a take-up tube. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer sheet A having a meltable ink layer 2 provided on one side of a base film 1 and a receiving material B having substantially the same width as that of the film A are releasably adhered to each other by a tentative adhesive layer 3, and are wound into a roll. The thermal transfer film A at a leading end part of this composite thermal transfer sheet is attached to a take-up tube 4. With a leading end part of the thermal transfer film A thus attached to the take-up tube 4 in advance, only the receiving material B with images printed thereon is discharged from a printer after printing. Therefore, problems associated with the used thermal transfer film are all obviated. |
