A complementary device for wells using a steel support casing (2) combined with a production or delivery string (3) made of composite materials, with a free standing ring (6). A device for protecting wells from corrosion or deposits caused by the nature of the fluid produced or located therein is described. It comprises a steel support casing (2) combined with a production string (3) made of composite materials, having a free ring (6) designed particularly for delivering inhibitors without interrupting operations. The string (3) is placed on the casing (2) via a device (4) which can be lowered with the string (3) and has openings (13) for maintaining the hydraulic continuity of the ring (6). The protection device can be used in particular in wells carrying fluids which attack conventional steel casings.
